Planned capability

LEV thorough examination & testing

Planned examination and performance testing of local exhaust ventilation systems, subject to confirmed competence and service activation.

What it is

A structured review—not a certificate-selling exercise.

The inspection scope is agreed before the visit. Relevant equipment is assessed using an engineering-led method, with findings recorded in a form that supports prioritisation and practical close-out.

COSHH generally requires LEV systems to undergo thorough examination and testing at suitable intervals. A commonly applicable maximum interval is 14 months, although shorter intervals can apply depending on the system and process. The correct regime should be confirmed for the application.

Who it is for

Manufacturers, engineering companies, workshops, warehouses and other industrial organisations that need clearer evidence about equipment condition, safeguards and risk.
